AXIS P1385-E 2MP Outdoor Box Camera with AI Analytics

The AXIS P1385-E is a weatherproof 2MP (HDTV 1080p) box camera that ships ready to mount, with a 2.8–13 mm varifocal lens and the AXIS TQ1003-E Wall Mount in the box. Its IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10-rated housing has a front heater that keeps the window clear of ice and fog from -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F). Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR hold color and detail in low light and backlight, the ARTPEC-8 deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics on the edge, and Axis Edge Vault secures the device. Because the CS-mount lens is exchangeable, you can switch to a longer or faster lens later without replacing the camera.

The aluminum and plastic housing is IP66-, IP67-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated, carries a weathershield with black anti-glare coating and is rated for a sustained wind load of 55 m/s (123 mph). A front heater keeps the window free of ice and fog, so the camera operates from -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F), up to 74 °C (165 °F) under NEMA TS2. The 1/2.8″ sensor with 2.9 μm pixels pairs with Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB depending on scene). Minimum illumination is color 0.05 lux and B/W 0.01 lux at 50 IRE, F1.4 (1080p 25/30 fps with Forensic WDR), or color 0.02 lux with an optional F0.9 lens. The supplied 2.8–13 mm lens covers 121°–26° horizontally and 64°–15° vertically, from a wide entrance view to a tighter gate or doorway. The CS mount with i-CS connector accepts P-Iris and DC-iris lenses. Electronic image stabilization steadies video on poles and walls that vibrate, barrel distortion correction sharpens the image edges and corridor format suits tall, narrow scenes.

AI Analytics and Cybersecurity

The ARTPEC-8 DLPU runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, bikes, other) in up to 10 scenarios such as line crossing, object in area and occupancy in area. AXIS Image Health Analytics warns of blocked, redirected, blurred or underexposed images. Axis Edge Vault provides a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, signed video and secure boot, with IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AR and HTTPS/HSTS on the network side.
