AXIS P1387-BE 5MP Outdoor Barebone Box Camera with AI Analytics

The AXIS P1387-BE is a 5MP outdoor box camera in a heated IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10 housing, delivered as a barebone: lens, mounts and IR illuminator are not included. It uses the same 1/2.7″ sensor and ARTPEC-8 platform as the AXIS P1387-LE but leaves the optics and mounting to you, which is useful when a site needs a telephoto or F0.9 lens. It streams 5 MP at up to 60 fps with Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR, runs AXIS Object Analytics on the edge and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F). A midspan or power supply is not included.

Barebone Outdoor Box Camera

The box contains the camera, installation guide, terminal block connectors and owner authentication key. Lens, mounts and illuminator are optional accessories, so you can pair the camera with the exact focal length a perimeter, gate or road needs. 5 MP in All Conditions

The 1/2.7″ sensor streams 2592x1944 (4:3) or 2592x1458 (16:9). With an F1.4 lens, minimum illumination is color 0.1 lux and B/W 0.02 lux at 50 IRE (5 MP 25/30 fps with Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0), and color 0.04 lux with an optional F0.9 lens. For complete darkness, add AXIS Fixed Box IR Illuminator Kit A.

Rugged, Heated Housing

The aluminum and plastic casing is IP66-, IP67-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated and can be repainted. A front heater keeps ice and fog off the window, and the weathershield has a black anti-glare coating; AXIS P13 Weathershield Extension A adds more protection from snow, rain and reflections.

Edge Analytics and Security

AXIS Object Analytics detects and classifies humans and vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, bikes, other) in up to 10 scenarios, with AXIS Scene Metadata and AXIS Image Health Analytics alongside. Axis Edge Vault is a hardware-based cybersecurity platform with a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, secure keystore, signed video and secure boot.

Power and Integration

Power comes from PoE IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 2 Class 4 (typical 5.14 W, max 25.5 W) or 10–28 V DC. ONVIF Profiles G, M, S and T, VAPIX and ACAP connect it to AXIS Camera Station and partner video management systems.
