AXIS P1385-BE 2MP Outdoor Barebone Box Camera with AI Analytics
The AXIS P1385-BE is the barebone, outdoor version of the AXIS P1385 series: a heated IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10-rated 2MP box camera supplied without a lens, a mount or an IR illuminator. It is the same housing as the AXIS P1385-E, rated for -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F), but you choose the CS-mount, P-Iris, DC-iris or i-CS lens and the mounting hardware. Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR deliver HDTV 1080p at up to 60 fps, the ARTPEC-8 DLPU runs AXIS Object Analytics, and Axis Edge Vault secures the device. A midspan or power supply is not included.

Barebone Outdoor Unit
The P1385-BE arrives as camera, installation guide, terminal block connectors and owner authentication key. The lens, mounts and illuminator are optional accessories, which keeps the unit light (2200 g / 4.9 lb) and lets you match optics to the site, from a wide entrance view to a long telephoto view of a gate. If you want the lens and AXIS TQ1003-E Wall Mount in the box, choose the AXIS P1385-E instead.
Weatherproof and Heated
The aluminum and plastic housing is IP66-, IP67-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated, has a weathershield with black anti-glare coating and a sustained wind load rating of 55 m/s (123 mph). A front heater keeps the window clear, and AXIS P13 Weathershield Extension A adds protection from snow, rain and reflections.
Low-Light Performance
With an F1.4 lens, minimum illumination is color 0.05 lux and B/W 0.01 lux at 50 IRE (1080p 25/30 fps with Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0), and with an optional F0.9 lens color 0.02 lux. The camera has no built-in IR; AXIS Fixed Box IR Illuminator Kit A covers surveillance in pitch darkness.
AI Analytics and Edge Vault
AXIS Object Analytics comes preinstalled on the ARTPEC-8 DLPU to detect and classify humans and vehicles in up to 10 scenarios, with AXIS Scene Metadata and AXIS Image Health Analytics alongside. Axis Edge Vault is a hardware-based cybersecurity platform with a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, secure keystore, signed video and secure boot.
Power and Connections
The camera draws PoE IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 2 Class 4 (max 25.5 W) or 10–28 V DC for redundancy, and offers 2 supervised alarm inputs, 2 outputs, RS485/RS422, a 3.5 mm mic/line input and a microSD slot with card encryption.
