Description

AXIS P1385 HDTV 1080p Indoor Box Camera with AI Analytics

The AXIS P1385 is a 2MP indoor box camera with Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR for true colors and detail in challenging light or near darkness. Built on ARTPEC-8 with a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), it runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans, vehicles and vehicle types, and Axis Edge Vault protects the device with a secure element, secure boot and signed video. An exchangeable CS-mount varifocal lens with i-CS support, electronic image stabilization and PoE with redundant DC power make it a flexible choice for indoor sites, and AXIS designed it to fit an outdoor housing as well.

Why Choose the AXIS P1385?

  • HDTV 1080p (1920x1080) at up to 50/60 fps (25/30 fps with Forensic WDR)
  • Exchangeable varifocal 2.8–13 mm, F1.4 CS-mount lens with i-CS support and P-Iris control
  • Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR up to 120 dB depending on scene
  • AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Image Health Analytics and AXIS Scene Metadata on the ARTPEC-8 DLPU
  • Axis Edge Vault: secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, signed video and secure boot
  • Electronic image stabilization, shock detection and barrel distortion correction
  • Axis Zipstream for H.264 and H.265 with up to 20 configurable streams
  • PoE (Class 3) or 10–28 V DC with redundant power; built-in microphone and speaker pairing

True Color in Challenging Light

Lightfinder 2.0 delivers full-color video in near darkness, and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB depending on scene) keeps detail when bright and dark areas share the frame. Minimum illumination is color 0.05 lux and B/W 0.01 lux at 50 IRE, F1.4 (1080p 25/30 fps with Forensic WDR and Lightfinder 2.0), or color 0.02 lux with the optional F0.9 lens.

Exchangeable Lens and Stable Images

The 1/2.8″ sensor streams HDTV 1080p (1920x1080). The supplied varifocal 2.8–13 mm, F1.4 lens covers 121°–26° horizontally and 64°–15° vertically, and the CS mount with i-CS support lets you change to another lens as needs change. Electronic image stabilization uses built-in gyroscopic sensors to keep video steady despite vibration, barrel distortion correction sharpens the image edges, and corridor format fits hallways and tunnels.

AI Analytics on the Edge

The ARTPEC-8 deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, bikes, other) in line crossing, object in area, time in area, crossline counting and occupancy in area scenarios. AXIS Image Health Analytics flags blocked, redirected, blurred or underexposed images, and AXIS Scene Metadata supports fast forensic search.

Axis Edge Vault Cybersecurity

Axis Edge Vault is a hardware-based cybersecurity platform with a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, secure keystore, signed video and secure boot. Network security includes IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AR, HTTPS/HSTS, TLS v1.2/v1.3 and IP address filtering.

Flexible Installation

Power the camera over PoE (Class 3) or from 10–28 V DC for redundancy. The AXIS T91B21 Stand is included, and the terminal blocks provide 2 supervised alarm inputs, 2 outputs and RS485/RS422. A leveling assistant and remote back focus speed up commissioning.

Typical Applications

  • Building entrances and lobbies
  • Offices and banks
  • Retail stores
  • Corridors and tunnels (corridor format)
  • Sites that need a specialist lens
