2N IP Verso Touch Keypad and Secured RFID Reader, 02443-001
Description
2N IP Verso Touch Keypad and Secured RFID Reader
The 2N IP Verso Touch Keypad and Secured RFID Reader adds PIN entry and high-security card reading to a modular 2N intercom. It snaps into the 2N IP Verso module bus next to the main unit and pairs a weatherproof capacitive keypad with a multi-frequency reader: 125 kHz cards plus 13.56 MHz cards, including the secured types such as MIFARE DESFire and HID SE Seos. Use the keypad alone for a PIN, the reader alone for a card, or both together when a door needs two-factor entry.

Two Ways to Authenticate
The reader and the keypad work independently. A card can open a door on its own, a PIN can do the same, or the intercom can require both. The secured 13.56 MHz support means the module can read cards that standard 13.56 MHz readers cannot, such as MIFARE DESFire and HID SE Seos, and it can read PACS IDs from HID iClass cards that carry an SIO object.
Built for Outdoor Entrances
2N designed the keypad to keep working when the surface is wet: it self-calibrates and does not register false touches from rain. The backlight brightness, LED color feedback and touch sound can all be configured so the keypad suits both bright street entrances and quiet lobbies.

Frequently Asked Questions About 2N IP Verso Touch Keypad and Secured RFID Reader
What does the 2N IP Verso Touch Keypad and Secured RFID Reader do?
It adds a weatherproof touch keypad and a multi-frequency RFID reader to a 2N IP Verso style intercom so a door can be opened with a PIN, a card or both.
Which cards does it read?
At 125 kHz it reads EM4xxx and HID Prox. At 13.56 MHz it reads ISO14443A (including MIFARE DESFire), PicoPass (HID iClass), FeliCa, ST SR(IX), NFC through the My2N app, HID SE Seos, iClass and MIFARE SE.
How is this different from 02779-001?
Both have the same keypad and 125 kHz support. This 02443-001 adds the secured 13.56 MHz card types; 02779-001 reads the standard 13.56 MHz types only.
Does it work with IP Verso 2.0?
Yes. 2N lists IP Verso 2.0, the first-generation IP Verso, LTE Verso and Access Unit 2.0 as compatible.
Does it include Bluetooth?
No. For Bluetooth mobile access, look at the Bluetooth and keypad modules (02781-001 and 02782-001) or the Bluetooth reader modules (02778-001 and 02444-001).
Will the keypad work in the rain?
2N states that the keypad is weather resistant and does not register false touches on wet surfaces.
How is the module connected?
It plugs into the 2N IP Verso module bus using the two bus connectors and the 220 mm interconnecting cable.
