2N LTE Verso Intercom Main Unit with Camera, Black, 01791-001
Description
2N LTE Verso Main Unit with Camera – Black
The 2N LTE Verso main unit with camera in black is a modular video intercom that connects over a cellular LTE link instead of a network cable. It needs only power and a data SIM card, so it can replace an old intercom in a building or at a remote gate where pulling Ethernet is impractical. The unit offers a camera with night vision, a speaker and microphone, SIP calling, and the same module system as the IP Verso family for readers, keypads and displays.

Why Choose the 2N LTE Verso?
- No network cable needed: connects over LTE with a MicroSIM data card
- Retrofit-friendly: replaces older intercoms where cabling is the obstacle
- Remote configuration over a secure VPN through the My2N Management Platform
- Cloud calls over mobile data to IP answering units, or to the My2N app on a phone or tablet
- Night-vision camera and 1 to 146 button directory
- Compatible with the IP Verso module range: readers, keypad, fingerprint and touch display
- Local setup possible by plugging a network cable into the unit
- IP54 and IK08 zinc-cast front, -40 °C to 60 °C operating range
Connects Over Mobile Data
This intercom has no wired data connection of its own. It places calls and sends video over LTE through a data SIM card, so site work is reduced to bringing power to the door. 2N gives typical data use as about 30 MB per month plus 4 MB per minute of calling, though other services can add to that. Axis product data states that the SIM must be a data LTE card in MicroSIM size.
Retrofit and Remote Sites
Because there is no cabling run, the LTE Verso suits older buildings, gatehouses and outlying entrances. 2N describes it as an ideal replacement for old intercoms and notes that installers can configure it remotely through the My2N Management Platform over a secure VPN, or locally with a network cable plugged into the unit.
Modules and Antenna Planning
The internal LTE antenna takes the place of one module position, according to Axis product data. If you plan to use additional modules with the main unit, use the external antenna (01943-001 in Axis product data). 2N lists a 4.1 dB external antenna with a 2 m cable and adhesive mounting in its datasheet.
Camera, Audio and Access
The camera produces 1280 x 960 JPEG snapshots and 640 x 480 video calls with night vision. Two 2 W speakers and an echo-cancelling microphone handle voice. Reader modules cover 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz cards, Bluetooth 5.0 and a fingerprint reader, with secured 13.56 MHz options.
Typical Applications
- Older apartment buildings without data wiring
- Rural gates and remote access points
- Temporary and construction-site entrances
- Outlying gateways on large properties
- Intercom replacement where cabling is costly

Frequently Asked Questions About 2N LTE Verso
Does the 2N LTE Verso need a network cable?
No. It connects over LTE using a SIM card. A network cable can still be plugged in for local configuration. Power comes from an external 12 V DC supply, such as the 2N power supply 01435-001 named in Axis product data.
What SIM card does it need?
Axis product data states a data LTE SIM card in MicroSIM size is required. The SIM is not included with the intercom.
Which LTE bands are supported in the US?
2N lists the US bands B2 (1900), B4 (AWS-1700), B5 (850) and B12/B13 (700). The unit is an LTE FDD Cat.1 device.
How much mobile data does it use?
Typically about 30 MB per month plus 4 MB for each minute of a call. Other services can raise the total.
Can I add modules?
Yes, but the internal antenna uses one module position. If you plan to use additional modules with the main unit, Axis product data recommends the external antenna 01943-001.
What camera does it have?
A color CMOS camera with night vision, giving JPEG snapshots up to 1280 x 960 and video calls at 640 x 480. Viewing angle is 128° horizontal, 95° vertical and 134° diagonal.
Can I manage it remotely?
Yes. 2N says it can be configured remotely over a secure VPN through the My2N Management Platform, and it makes cloud calls over mobile data to IP answering units or to a phone or tablet running the My2N app.
How is it protected from the weather?
IP54 and IK08, with an operating range of -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F) and 10% to 95% non-condensing humidity.
How does it control a door?
A relay with NC/NO contacts rated 30 V and 1 A AC/DC and an active output of 12 V, max 400 mA, are built in. A tamper switch is an optional accessory.
Which finish is this part number?
