2N IP Verso 2.0 Main Unit with Camera, Black, 02908-001
Description
2N IP Verso 2.0 Main Unit with Camera – Black
The 2N IP Verso 2.0 main unit with camera in black is the video core of a modular IP door intercom. It pairs a wide-angle Full HD camera with a zinc-cast front, a built-in speaker and microphone, one call button and a SIP engine, then lets you bolt on card readers, keypads, a fingerprint reader or a touch display as separate modules. This is the second-generation product on the ARTPEC-7 processor, rated IP54 and IK08 for entrances, lobbies and gates.

Why Choose the 2N IP Verso 2.0 Main Unit?
- Full HD wide-angle camera with WDR and infrared for clear identification at the door
- Modular build: stack up to 20 different reader, keypad, display and button modules
- Mobile access over Bluetooth (WaveKey), RFID cards, PINs and QR codes once the matching modules are added
- Wall, flush or glass mounting with the matching 2N frame or box
- PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC, so one network cable can carry both power and signal
- SIP over UDP, TCP or TLS for IP phones, PBXs and the My2N platform
- IP54 and IK08 zinc-cast front with a nickel or black finish
- Backed by a 5-year 2N warranty
Camera Built for Doorways
The camera uses a 1/2.7-inch color CMOS sensor behind a 1.9 mm lens, giving a 125° by 105° view that widens to 138° in peephole mode so you can see someone standing close to the door. WDR and infrared help with backlit or dark entrances, and the minimum illumination is 0.8 lux without IR. Streams use H.264, H.265, MJPEG or Axis Zipstream, and ONVIF Profile S lets the unit work as an IP camera for most video management software.
Modules for Every Access Method
The main unit is the base for a stack of modules. 2N lists touch keypads, a fingerprint reader, a touch display, Bluetooth and RFID readers (including secured 13.56 MHz versions), a 5-button module, I/O, Wiegand and OSDP modules, an induction loop, an infopanel and blind panels. 2N states that up to 20 different modules can be combined with this unit (Axis product data lists up to 30). Reader support depends on the module order number, so check the card types before you buy.
Audio and Calling
Calls run over SIP using UDP, TCP or TLS, with G.711, G.722, G.729 and L16/16 kHz codecs and RTP/SRTP media. The main unit delivers about 78 dB at 1 kHz and 1 m, offers a 1 V RMS / 600 Ω line output, and has automatic adaptive volume so announcements stay intelligible in changing background noise. The My2N mobile app supports Android 6.0 and later and iOS 12.0 and later.
Installation and Mounting
Choose a surface-mount frame for quick wall installs, or a flush frame with a flush box for a clean recess. Frame sizes for one, two and three modules are listed on 2N product data, for example 4.213 x 5.118 x 1.102 in for a one-module surface frame. Axis product data notes that glass mounting needs the right accessory. Power comes from an 802.3af PoE port or a 12 V DC supply, and the passive relay (30 V, 1 A) and active 8 to 12 V output can switch a door lock or strike within those ratings.
Typical Applications
- Office lobbies and tenant entrances
- Apartment and condominium buildings
- School and campus entry points
- Industrial and warehouse gates
- Parking garages and shared amenities

Frequently Asked Questions About 2N IP Verso 2.0
What is the difference between the 2N IP Verso 2.0 and the original IP Verso?
The 2.0 is the second generation, built on an ARTPEC-7 processor with a Full HD camera, H.265 support and QR code reading. The original 2N IP Verso is being discontinued. Treat them as different products and check each module before mixing generations.
What camera does this main unit have?
A 1/2.7-inch color CMOS camera with a 1.9 mm lens, up to 1920 x 1080 (16:9) or 1920 x 1440 (4:3) at 30 fps, 125° by 105° field of view (138° horizontal in peephole view), WDR and infrared.
How many modules can I add?
2N states that up to 20 different modules can be combined with the 2N IP Verso 2.0. Axis product data lists up to 30 modules, so confirm the count for your design with 2N.
How is the main unit powered?
Use PoE 802.3af (Class 0, 12.95 W) and/or a 12 V DC supply. Power use grows as you add modules, so check the budget for larger stacks.
Does it support Bluetooth, RFID and QR code access?
Those functions come from the matching modules. 2N lists Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE) readers, 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz RFID readers, secured 13.56 MHz readers, touch keypads and a fingerprint reader. QR codes are listed as an access method for the 2.0 family.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
It is rated IP54 and IK08 with a zinc-cast frame and an operating range of -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F).
Which mounting options are available?
2N lists surface frames, flush frames with flush boxes, and glass mounting. The frames and boxes are sold separately, in one-, two- and three-module sizes.
What protocols does it use?
SIP over UDP, TCP or TLS for calling, RTP/SRTP for audio and RTP, RTSP, RTCP and HTTP with ONVIF Profile S for video.
What warranty does 2N list?
2N lists a 5-year warranty for the 2N IP Verso 2.0. Full terms are on 2N's warranty page.
