2N LTE Verso Main Unit with Camera – Nickel

The 2N LTE Verso main unit with camera in nickel is a modular video intercom that connects over a cellular LTE link instead of a network cable. It needs only power and a data SIM card, so it can replace an old intercom in a building or at a remote gate where pulling Ethernet is impractical. Connects Over Mobile Data

This intercom has no wired data connection of its own. It places calls and sends video over LTE through a data SIM card, so site work is reduced to bringing power to the door. 2N gives typical data use as about 30 MB per month plus 4 MB per minute of calling, though other services can add to that. Axis product data states that the SIM must be a data LTE card in MicroSIM size.

Because there is no cabling run, the LTE Verso suits older buildings, gatehouses and outlying entrances. 2N describes it as an ideal replacement for old intercoms and notes that installers can configure it remotely through the My2N Management Platform over a secure VPN, or locally with a network cable plugged into the unit.

The internal LTE antenna takes the place of one module position, according to Axis product data. If you plan to use additional modules with the main unit, use the external antenna (01943-001 in Axis product data). 2N lists a 4.1 dB external antenna with a 2 m cable and adhesive mounting in its datasheet.

Camera, Audio and Access

The camera produces 1280 x 960 JPEG snapshots and 640 x 480 video calls with night vision. Two 2 W speakers and an echo-cancelling microphone handle voice. Reader modules cover 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz cards, Bluetooth 5.0 and a fingerprint reader, with secured 13.56 MHz options.

Does the 2N LTE Verso need a network cable?

No. It connects over LTE using a SIM card. A network cable can still be plugged in for local configuration. Power comes from an external 12 V DC supply, such as the 2N power supply 01435-001 named in Axis product data.

Axis product data states a data LTE SIM card in MicroSIM size is required. The SIM is not included with the intercom.
