2N IP Force Secure Door Set with Security Relay, 01976-001
Description
2N IP Force Secure Door Set
The 2N IP Force Secure Door Set pairs a security relay with an additional switch and tamper module, so that the door lock only opens on a valid signal from the intercom. The relay sits on the secure side of the door and stops anyone from opening the lock by feeding it a battery or a bridged wire. The tamper switch raises an alarm if the front panel of the intercom is opened.

How the Set Works
- The security relay is installed between the intercom (outside) and the electric lock (inside the secured area), typically behind the door, and it is paired with the intercom.
- It opens the lock only when the intercom sends a valid code, which blocks attempts to open the door with a 12 V battery.
- The additional switch and tamper module fits inside the intercom. Per the 2N installation manual it cannot be combined with an internal RFID reader, because only one extension module fits at a time.
- The tamper switch shares the RELAY2 NO/NC terminals, so RELAY2 cannot be used at the same time as the tamper switch.

Frequently Asked Questions About 2N IP Force Secure Door Set
What is in the 2N IP Force Secure Door Set?
It combines the Additional Switch and Tamper module (01350-001) and the Security Relay (01386-001). The components are also sold separately.
What does the security relay do?
It is wired between the intercom and the lock and opens the lock only when it receives a valid code from the intercom, so the lock cannot be opened with a 12 V battery.
What does the tamper switch do?
It detects an unauthorised opening of the intercom front panel, which can trigger an alarm or another automated response.
Can I use it with an internal RFID reader?
The 2N installation manual says the additional switch cannot be combined with an internal RFID reader, as only one extension module can be fitted at a time.
Which firmware do I need?
The security relay needs intercom firmware 1.15 or higher. After a factory reset on firmware 2.18 or higher the relay has to be programmed again.
Does it fit the IP Force 2.0?
2N lists the set for the 2N IP Force 2.0, and its first-generation IP Force installation manual covers the same two modules.
How heavy is the package?
The shipping weight is 0.49 lb and the package measures 2.76 x 5.31 x 9.45 inches (W x D x H).
