2N IP Force Secured 13.56 MHz RFID Card Reader

The 2N IP Force Secured 13.56 MHz RFID Card Reader is an internal module that adds high-security card reading to a first-generation 2N IP Force intercom. Besides the usual 13.56 MHz cards and NFC phones it reads secured HID formats such as Seos, and it can pass either the card serial number or the PAC ID to your access system. It is a discontinued first-generation part, and 2N has replaced it for the IP Force 2.0.

Module Fitting Notes

• This is an internal module that fits inside the intercom housing, so no separate reader unit is needed on the wall.
• Per the 2N installation manual, only one of the extension modules (additional switch or internal RFID reader) can be used in the intercom at a time.
• The tamper switch on the module signals when the front panel is opened.

What does the 2N IP Force Secured 13.56 MHz reader read?

It reads 13.56 MHz cards such as MIFARE DESFire, HID iClass and FeliCa, and the secured HID formats Seos, iClass SE and MIFARE SE. It is also ready for NFC and 2N Mobile Key.

How is it different from the non-secured 13.56 MHz module?

The secured version adds the HID secured formats and can read a PAC ID as well as the card serial number. The standard module reads the serial number only.

Which intercoms does it fit?

It fits the two-button and pictogram versions of the first-generation 2N IP Force. It does not fit the IP Force 2.0, which has its own readers.

Can I use it with the additional switch module?

No. The 2N installation manual says that only one extension module, either the additional switch or an internal RFID reader, can be used at a time.

Is this reader still sold?

Axis product data marks it as discontinued, and 2N has ended sales of the first-generation IP Force. Axis lists 03356-001 as the replacement for the 2N IP Force 2.0.
