2N IP Force Secured 13.56 MHz NFC RFID Card Reader with OSDP

The 2N IP Force Secured 13.56 MHz NFC RFID Card Reader with OSDP is the secured version of the 13.56 MHz OSDP module, adding support for HID Seos and iClass Pac credentials to a first-generation 2N IP Force intercom. Card data travels to the door controller over encrypted OSDP, and the module keeps the same switches, inputs and tamper detection as the standard version. It is a discontinued first-generation part.

Module Fitting Notes

• This is an internal module that fits inside the intercom housing, so no separate reader unit is needed on the wall.
• The OSDP link encrypts the data that goes to the door controller, which Wiegand does not.
• The tamper switch on the module signals when the front panel is opened.

Which intercoms does it fit?

It is built for the two-button and pictogram versions of the first-generation 2N IP Force, like the other IP Force OSDP readers. It does not fit the IP Force 2.0.

Why OSDP instead of Wiegand?

OSDP encrypts the data sent to the door controller, which makes eavesdropping harder than with Wiegand.

Can I use a standard 13.56 MHz reader if I do not need Seos?

Yes. The standard version is the 2N IP Force 13.56 MHz NFC RFID Card Reader with OSDP (03229-001).
