Why Choose the AXIS A8207-VE Mk II?

  • Camera, intercom and access control reader in a single device
  • 6 MP video with a 180° view and Forensic WDR for clear identification
  • Multi-technology RFID reader with keypad for cards, tags and PIN codes
  • Induction loop (T-coil) and illuminated feedback for accessibility
  • PIR sensor to detect approaching visitors and trigger actions
  • Relays, I/Os, RS485 and microHDMI for open system integration
  • SIP, ONVIF Profile S and G, VAPIX and ACAP support
  • Signed firmware and secure boot

Wide-Angle 6 MP Video Surveillance

A 1/2.9-inch sensor and 1.56 mm lens capture 3072x2048 video at up to 30 fps across a 180° horizontal and 120° vertical field of view, so the station records visitors from head to toe as well as the area around the door. Forensic WDR handles backlit entrances, Axis Zipstream reduces bandwidth and storage, and video can be recorded to a microSD card or NAS.

Integrated RFID Reader and Keypad

The built-in reader accepts cards, tags, PIN codes and door codes, with an integrated entry list of up to 50 credentials. It reads 13.56 MHz credentials (MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus Level 1, MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3, HID iCLASS and iCLASS SE) and 125 kHz proximity credentials (HID Prox, EM-42xx, ISOProx II), and it connects to access control systems over RS485 (OSDP), Wiegand or the VAPIX reader interface. Visitors without credentials use the keypad to call the person they are visiting.

Accessible Two-Way Communication

Full-duplex audio with echo cancellation and noise reduction, dual microphones and a 78 dB speaker keep conversations clear. A T-coil hearing loop with its own 4 W amplifier transmits audio to hearing aids, while illuminated symbols, an indicator stripe, illuminated buttons and audible feedback show users when a call is connected or access is granted.

Open Interfaces for Integration

SIP support connects the door station to IP phones and PBX systems, tested with Cisco, Avaya, Asterisk, Bria and Grandstream, with parallel and sequential call forking. ONVIF Profile S and G, VAPIX and ACAP connect it to AXIS Camera Station and partner VMS. Four I/Os, two relays rated 30 V, 1 A, a microHDMI output for a monitor inside the door, line in and out, and a PIR sensor let it open doors, switch lights, trigger cameras or play greetings. Tamper detection uses a tamper switch, an accelerometer and video tampering alarms.

Typical Applications

  • Office and commercial building main entrances
  • Staff entrances that need badge, PIN and visitor calling at one door
  • Gated sites and parking entrances
  • Healthcare and education buildings with accessibility needs
  • Multi-tenant and residential lobbies
