Why Choose the AXIS Q1808-LE?
- 10MP (3712x2784) or 4K at up to 60 fps from a 4/3″ sensor
- 12–48 mm Canon lens with 4x zoom and a 90°–21° field of view
- Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB)
- OptimizedIR plus white LED, up to 100 m (328 ft)
- Deep learning processing unit with AXIS Object Analytics and AXIS Scene Metadata
- Axis Edge Vault with TPM 2.0 and secure element, signed OS and secure boot
- PoE out powers a second device (60 W midspan required)
- IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X, IK10 and -40 °C to 60 °C operation
Wide Coverage with True Colors in Low Light
The 12–48 mm Canon lens covers a 90°–21° horizontal field of view with 4x optical zoom. The large 4/3″ sensor with Lightfinder 2.0 keeps colors down to 0.02 lux, Forensic WDR handles up to 120 dB of contrast, and OptimizedIR with 850 nm IR LEDs plus a white LED combo reaches 100 m (328 ft) or more. The white light can also be switched on to deter unwanted activity.
Analytics on the Edge
The ARTPEC-8 system-on-chip with a deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles (line crossing, object in area, time in area, up to 10 scenarios), plus AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Image Health Analytics and AXIS Live Privacy Shield. AXIS License Plate Verifier, AXIS Perimeter Defender and AXIS Speed Monitor are supported.
Lower Bandwidth and Storage
Axis Zipstream in H.264 and H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage, with up to 20 configurable streams and up to 8 cropped view areas from one camera. Electronic image stabilization, defogging and barrel distortion correction keep the image steady and sharp, and microSD cards or NAS recording add local storage.
Built-In Cybersecurity
Axis Edge Vault protects the device with a TPM 2.0 (FIPS 140-2 Level 2), a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, signed video, signed OS and secure boot. Network security includes IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AR, HTTPS/HSTS and TLS 1.2/1.3.
Flexible Power and Installation
Power the camera by PoE (Class 4 or Class 6), 10–28 V DC or 20–24 V AC; redundant DC power keeps it running if one source fails. With a 60 W midspan, the PoE output delivers 30 W to a second device such as a horn speaker or another camera. Two supervised I/O ports, a 3.5 mm audio input, a level grid, leveling assistant and remote zoom and focus speed up installation.
Typical Applications
- Parking lots and parking structures
- Building perimeters and fence lines
- Loading docks and logistics yards
- Campuses and open grounds
- City and traffic overview
