The AXIS M5525-E is a compact HDTV 1080p PTZ camera with 10x optical zoom, continuous 360° pan and autofocus, designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Forensic Capture WDR handles scenes with bright and dark areas, two-way audio and four configurable I/O ports connect peripheral devices, and the IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK09-rated casing fits any Axis PTZ mount.

Overview and Detail in One Camera

The 4.7–47 mm lens covers 61.8°–6.7° horizontally with 10x optical and 12x digital zoom (120x total). Continuous 360° pan and 90° tilt at 1.8°–150°/s, nadir flip, 100 preset positions and a limited guard tour let operators follow moving objects and move between views quickly.

WDR – Forensic Capture preserves detail where bright and dark areas share the scene. The automatically removable infrared-cut filter switches to black-and-white video down to 0.01 lux at 30 IRE, and Axis Zipstream in H.264 lowers bandwidth and storage needs.

Built-In Analytics

AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, AXIS Video Motion Detection, audio detection and advanced gatekeeper are included, AXIS Cross Line Detection is supported, and AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP) allows third-party applications.

Audio, I/O and Security

Full-duplex two-way audio with a mic/line input and line output, plus four configurable inputs/outputs, connect microphones, speakers and alarm devices. Password protection, IP address filtering, HTTPS encryption, IEEE 802.1X network access control, digest authentication and brute force delay protection secure the device.

Flexible Installation

The repaintable IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK09-rated casing works with any Axis PTZ mount outdoors and surface mounting indoors, with an optional recessed mount kit. A smoked dome and a ¾” conduit adapter are included.
