2N Clip 2wire-IP Switch
The 2N Clip 2wire-IP Switch connects 2N Clip 2wire-IP indoor stations to the network, powering up to six of them over their existing 2-wire cabling. It also has two Ethernet ports, one with PoE, for 2N IP intercoms, readers or answering units, and two passive 2wire-IP ports for chaining further switches, which makes it the hub of a retrofit installation. It mounts on a DIN rail and needs its own 48 V DC / 1.92 A supply.

Installing the Switch
The 2N product page recommends one switch per floor or per six indoor stations, and describes chaining switches to cover several floors and apartments. The switch has to be supplied by a separate 48 V DC / 1.92 A source: 2N offers the power supply 03479-001, a DIN-rail unit with an 85 to 264 V AC input. 2N also advises checking the condition of any legacy cabling (24 AWG recommended) before use.
