AXIS M5000 PTZ Camera – Indoor Panoramic Situational Awareness with 10x PTZ

The AXIS M5000 combines three 5 MP overview sensors and one HDTV 1080p PTZ camera with 10x optical zoom in a single unit, giving total situational awareness of indoor areas up to 400 m² (4300 ft²). With everything displayed on one monitor, operators can move from the overview to a zoomed-in detail in one click, and autofocus and day/night functionality keep the PTZ view sharp. It gives the benefits of four cameras while installing just one.

Total Overview, Zoomed-In Detail

Three 5 MP sensors with 2.39 mm lenses cover 360° horizontally and 93° vertically, and the integrated PTZ camera’s 4.7–47 mm lens zooms 10x optically (120x total) at up to 25/30 fps in HDTV 1080p. Click-in-image sends the PTZ to the area of interest, autofocus quickly delivers a sharp image, and polygonal privacy masks pixelate areas that must stay private.

Cost-Efficient, Easy Installation

The AXIS M5000 gives you the benefits of four cameras while installing just one: one camera, one cable, one IP address and one video management software license. Power comes from PoE (IEEE 802.3at Type 2 Class 4, typical 7.4 W, max 13.0 W) or 20–28 V DC, and edge storage records directly to an onboard memory card. A black dome is available as an accessory.

Analytics and Cybersecurity

AXIS Loitering Guard, AXIS Video Motion Detection, audio detection, shock detection and advanced gatekeeper are included. Axis Edge Vault provides a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, secure keystore, signed video and secure boot, and the Axis Cryptographic Module is FIPS 140-2 level 1 validated.
