The AXIS Q6154-E is a compact, outdoor-ready HDTV 720p PTZ dome with a built-in laser for instant focus and 30x optical zoom. It streams 720p at up to 50/60 fps for smooth video of moving objects, and Axis Sharpdome, Lightfinder and WDR – Forensic Capture keep images clear in all directions and in difficult light. Axis Zipstream lowers bandwidth and storage, and Speed Dry clears rain from the dome.

Laser Focus for Fast-Changing Scenes

The built-in laser measures distance to the subject so the camera focuses instantly, even in low light or low contrast. Combined with fast pan and tilt, it lets operators zoom in on moving objects without waiting for the image to sharpen.

Smooth 720p Video at 50/60 fps

The 1/2.8″ progressive scan sensor streams 1280x720 at up to 50/60 fps. The 4.3–129 mm lens gives a 66.7°–2.36° horizontal field of view with 30x optical and 12x digital zoom (360x total), and the camera stores 256 preset positions with tour recording and guard tours.

Image Quality in All Directions

Axis Sharpdome technology keeps detail above the horizon as well as below it. Lightfinder gives color down to 0.15 lux at 30 IRE, WDR – Forensic Capture handles 120 dB scenes, and electronic image stabilization and Speed Dry help in wind and rain. Scene profiles simplify image setup.

Analytics and Security

AXIS Video Motion Detection, AXIS Fence Guard and AXIS Motion Guard are included, and AXIS Camera Application Platform supports third-party applications. Signed firmware, HTTPS, IEEE 802.1X and brute force delay protection secure the device, with ONVIF Profile G and S for video management integration.

Rugged Outdoor Installation

The IP66- and NEMA 4X-rated aluminum casing has IK10 housing and mounting (IK08 dome). With a 60 W midspan it runs from -55 °C to 50 °C (-67 °F to 122 °F) and is tested to 74 °C (165 °F) under NEMA TS 2; Arctic Temperature Control allows start-up at -40 °C. Mounting is sold separately.
