The AXIS P3268-LVE is a discontinued 8 MP (4K) outdoor fixed dome built on ARTPEC-8, with Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR and OptimizedIR for clear video in changing light. Its deep learning processing unit (DLPU) runs AXIS Object Analytics on the camera. The IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated outdoor casing, remote zoom and focus and single-cable PoE make it a fit for building exteriors, entrances and parking areas. Existing AXIS P3268-LVE installations can still be matched or expanded; for new projects, see its successor in the notice above.

Lightfinder 2.0 keeps color in low light (color down to 0.14 lux at 50 IRE, F1.5), and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB depending on scene) holds detail when bright and dark areas share the frame. OptimizedIR with long-life 850 nm LEDs lights the scene up to 40 m (130 ft) or more in complete darkness.

Coverage and Resolution

3840x2160 video at up to 25/30 fps covers a 100°–53° horizontal field of view through the Varifocal, 4.3–8.6 mm, F1.5 lens. Remote zoom and focus let you frame the scene from the browser, and digital PTZ with preset positions and multi-view streaming (up to 2 cropped view areas at full frame rate) get more from one camera. Axis Zipstream for H.264 and H.265 keeps bandwidth and storage down.

Analytics on the Edge

The ARTPEC-8 deep learning processing unit (DLPU) runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, bikes, other), with scenarios for line crossing, object in area, time in area, crossline counting, occupancy in area, motion in area and motion line crossing.
