The 2N Access Unit M Flush Installation Box is an in-wall mounting box that hides and terminates the cabling behind a 2N Access Unit M reader. It is walled in before the reader goes on, giving the installer a clean cavity for the cable connection and a little storage for slack. 2N suggests it for brick walls, where a hole for the box is easy to cut. The reader itself still mounts on the wall surface over the box.

2N says an electrician will usually pick the flush box when fitting the Access Unit M on a brick wall, because cutting the hole for the box is simple there. The box is designed for walling in, and it holds the cable connection and gives storage under the access unit. The reader is always surface mounted, even with the flush box. For walls that cannot be cut, 2N offers the surface installation box (02932-001) instead.
