AXIS Q2112-E 640x480 Outdoor Thermal Camera, 25 mm 8.3 fps, 02607-001
Description
AXIS Q2112-E 25 mm 8.3 fps 640x480 Outdoor Thermal Camera
The AXIS Q2112-E 25 mm 8.3 fps (02607-001) is the 8.3 fps version of the AXIS Q2112-E outdoor thermal camera with the 25 mm lens: a 640x480 uncooled microbolometer with NETD below 20 mK and a 24° horizontal field of view. Because it images heat rather than light, it detects people and vehicles 24/7 in darkness, smoke and light fog, with electronic image stabilization and color palettes, AXIS Motion Guard, Fence Guard and Loitering Guard included and AXIS Perimeter Defender supported. Axis Edge Vault, four I/O ports, an RS485/RS422 port and edge-to-edge speaker pairing come standard, and the IP66/IP67, IK10, NEMA 4X and NEMA TS 2-rated casing is built for perimeters, fence lines and total darkness.

Detection in Total Darkness
A thermal camera sees heat, not light, so it needs no illumination and is not affected by darkness, glare or low sun, and it keeps working in smoke and light fog. The uncooled microbolometer covers the 8–14 µm spectral range with a sensitivity (NETD) below 20 mK, which keeps the false alarm rate low in low-contrast scenes. Multiple color palettes help operators read the scene, and because thermal images do not allow identification, they suit sites where privacy matters.
25 mm Lens Coverage and Detection Range
The 25 mm athermalized F1.0 lens gives a 24° horizontal and 18.5° vertical field of view, with a near focus distance of 18.5 m (61 ft). Using Johnson's criteria, AXIS gives theoretical ranges of 735 m (2,410 ft) to detect a person and 2,100 m (6,888 ft) to detect a vehicle, 184 m (604 ft) to recognize a person and 91 m (298 ft) to identify one. Weather affects real distances, so plan the scene with AXIS Site Designer. The AXIS Q2112-E is offered with 10, 19, 25, 35, 60 and 100 mm lenses, each in an 8.3 fps and a 30 fps version.
Built-In Analytics
AXIS Video Motion Detection, AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, active tampering alarm and audio detection are included. AXIS Perimeter Defender, which detects and classifies humans and vehicles, is supported and sold separately, and the AXIS Camera Application Platform lets you add third-party analytics. The ARTPEC-8 chip includes a deep learning processing unit (DLPU).
Axis Edge Vault Cybersecurity
Axis Edge Vault is a hardware-based cybersecurity platform with TPM 2.0 (CC EAL4+, FIPS 140-2 Level 2), a secure element (CC EAL 6+), Axis device ID, secure keystore, signed video, secure boot and an encrypted filesystem. Signed firmware, brute force delay protection, OAuth 2.0, IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AE (MACsec), HTTPS/HSTS, TLS 1.2/1.3 and a host-based firewall protect it on the network. ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T and the VAPIX API support AXIS Camera Station and partner VMS software.
Built for Harsh Outdoor Sites
The aluminum casing weighs 3.3 kg (7.3 lb) and is IP66/IP67, NEMA 4X and IK10 rated, operating from -40 °C to 60 °C (up to 74 °C per NEMA TS 2). Mounting accessories are not included: choose the AXIS TQ1003-E Wall Mount for fixed installs or the AXIS TQ1818-E Positioning Unit for a 360° view with guard tours of up to 256 presets. It has four configurable inputs/outputs (two supervised, two unsupervised) and an RS485/RS422 serial port, mic/line in and line out, and runs on PoE Class 4 or 10–28 V DC.
