AXIS P3407-VE 5MP Outdoor AI PTRZ Dome Camera, 03295-001
Description
AXIS P3407-VE Dome Camera – 5 MP Outdoor AI Dome with Remote PTRZ and PoE Out
The AXIS P3407-VE is a 5 MP outdoor dome that installers can aim entirely from a laptop: remote pan, tilt, roll and zoom set the view after the camera is on the wall. Built on ARTPEC-9 with a deep learning processing unit, it runs AXIS Object Analytics on video and AXIS Audio Analytics on its built-in acoustic sensor, so it can flag a scream or a shout as well as a person or vehicle. A PoE output port powers a second device from the same cable run, and the IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated casing is protected by Axis Edge Vault.

Why Choose the AXIS P3407-VE?
- 5 MP (2592x1944) at up to 25/30 fps with a 3.0–8.5 mm varifocal lens
- Remote PTRZ: re-aim, level and zoom the view without a lift or ladder
- PoE out (Class 3) to power a second device, such as a speaker or another camera
- Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR up to 120 dB for true color in difficult light
- AXIS Object Analytics, Image Health Analytics, Live Privacy Shield and Scene Metadata on ARTPEC-9
- Built-in acoustic sensor with AXIS Audio Analytics for screams, shouts, glass break, speech and coughing fits
- Axis Edge Vault with a CC EAL 6+ / FIPS 140-3 Level 3 secure element; TAA compliant
- IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 rated; operates from -40 °C to 50 °C
Set the View Remotely with PTRZ
The AXIS P3407-VE pans ±180°, tilts -40 to +75° and rotates ±95° under remote control, and its 3.0–8.5 mm lens zooms and focuses the same way. Installers can mount the camera first and frame the scene afterwards, and a pixel counter and level grid help confirm the shot. The pan-tilt-roll mechanism is designed for at least 300 full movement cycles, so views can be re-aimed as a site changes.
True Color in Challenging Light
A 1/2.8" sensor with Lightfinder 2.0 keeps color down to 0.1 lux (0.03 lux in black and white), and Forensic WDR, up to 120 dB depending on scene, holds detail when a bright doorway and a dark interior share the frame. This model has no built-in IR, so it suits scenes with some ambient or site lighting at night; electronic image stabilization and defog help in wind and haze.
AI Video and Audio Analytics on the Edge
ARTPEC-9 with a deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect, classify, track and count humans and vehicle types in up to 10 scenarios, including line crossing, object in area, time in area, occupancy and tailgating detection. The built-in acoustic sensor feeds AXIS Audio Analytics, which classifies screams, shouts, glass break, speech and coughing fits and measures sound pressure level. AXIS Image Health Analytics warns if the view is blocked, redirected, blurred or underexposed.
PoE Out and Efficient Streaming
The camera takes Class 4 PoE in and offers a Class 3 PoE output port, so one cable run can also power an additional device. Axis Zipstream works in AV1, H.265 and H.264 to cut bandwidth and storage, with up to 20 configurable streams and up to 7 cropped view areas.
Built-In Cybersecurity
Axis Edge Vault stores keys in a secure element certified to CC EAL 6+ and FIPS 140-3 Level 3, and adds Axis device ID, signed video, secure boot and an encrypted filesystem. Signed OS, IEEE 802.1X, MACsec, HTTPS/HSTS and TLS 1.2/1.3 protect it on the network, with AXIS OS support until 2035-12-31.
