The AXIS P3247-LVE is a discontinued 5 MP outdoor fixed dome built on ARTPEC-7, with Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR and OptimizedIR for clear video in changing light. Its machine learning processing unit (MLPU) runs AXIS Object Analytics on the camera. The IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated outdoor casing, remote zoom and focus and single-cable PoE make it a fit for building exteriors, entrances and parking areas. Existing AXIS P3247-LVE installations can still be matched or expanded; for new projects, see its successor in the notice above.

Sharp Detail Day and Night

Lightfinder 2.0 keeps color in low light (color down to 0.13 lux at 50 IRE, F1.3), and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB depending on scene) holds detail when bright and dark areas share the frame. OptimizedIR with long-life 850 nm LEDs lights the scene up to 40 m (130 ft) or more in complete darkness.

Coverage and Resolution

2592x1944 video at up to 25/30 fps covers a 104°–40° horizontal field of view through the Varifocal, 3–8 mm, F1.3 lens. Remote zoom and focus let you frame the scene from the browser, and digital PTZ with preset positions and multi-view streaming (up to 2 cropped view areas at full frame rate) get more from one camera. Axis Zipstream for H.264 and H.265 keeps bandwidth and storage down.

Analytics on the Edge

The ARTPEC-7 machine learning processing unit (MLPU) runs AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles, with scenarios for line crossing, object in area, crossline counting and time in area. Included applications: AXIS Object Analytics, AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, AXIS Video Motion Detection, active tampering alarm and audio detection.

Rugged and Easy to Install

The IP66-, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated outdoor casing, weathershield and -40 °C to 50 °C (-40 °F to 122 °F) operating range (start-up from -30 °C) handle outdoor sites. The mounting bracket fits double-gang, single-gang and 4" octagon junction boxes and wall or ceiling mounts, and the camera has a ¼"-20 UNC tripod screw thread. Remote zoom and focus and a pixel counter speed up aiming, and IEEE 802.3af/802.3at Type 1 Class 3 PoE keeps it to one cable.
