  • PoE or 10–28 V DC power, audio input with 10-band equalizer, and I/O

Clear Video Day and Night

An automatic IR-cut filter with a hybrid IR filter switches between color and black-and-white. Minimum illumination is 0.06 lux in color and 0.01 lux in black and white (50 IRE, F1.6), and 0 lux with IR on. OptimizedIR lights the scene to 40 m (131 ft) or more depending on the scene, and spatial and temporal noise reduction keep low-light video clean.

Flexible Coverage

The 3–9 mm lens covers 117° to 37° horizontally and 59° to 20° vertically, with a minimum focus distance of 0.5 m (1.6 ft). Scene profiles (forensic, vivid, traffic overview), defogging, barrel distortion correction, polygon privacy masks and up to 8 cropped view areas help tune the image to the site.

AI Analytics with Deep Learning

A deep learning processing unit on the ARTPEC-8 chip runs AXIS Object Analytics, which detects and classifies humans and vehicles with line crossing, object in area, occupancy in area and time in area scenarios (up to 10). AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Image Health Analytics, AXIS Live Privacy Shield, AXIS Video Motion Detection, active tampering and shock detection are included, and AXIS Perimeter Defender, AXIS License Plate Verifier and AXIS Speed Monitor are supported.

Built-In Cybersecurity

Axis Edge Vault provides a secure element (CC EAL 6+), system-on-chip security (TEE), Axis device ID, signed video, secure boot and an encrypted filesystem, and the Axis Cryptographic Module is FIPS 140-2 level 1 validated. IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AE (MACsec), IEEE 802.1AR and HTTPS/HSTS protect the network connection, and ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T support AXIS Camera Station and partner VMS platforms.

Simple Installation

The box includes Torx L-keys, a terminal block connector, connector guard, cable gaskets and AXIS Weather Shield L, and a pixel counter, remote zoom, remote focus and auto rotation help aim the camera. It runs on PoE (Class 3, typical 7.9 W, max 12.95 W) or 10–28 V DC and operates from -40 °C to 60 °C (-40 °F to 140 °F).

Typical Applications

  • Parking lots and driveways
  • Building perimeters and fence lines
  • Loading docks and gates
  • School and campus grounds
