AXIS M7116 16-Channel Video Encoder – Rack-Mount Analog to IP at 30 fps

The AXIS M7116 is a 1U rack-mount video encoder that digitizes 16 PAL/NTSC analog cameras and streams every channel at 30 fps. An ARTPEC-7 system-on-chip and four IP addresses (one per four channels) deliver H.264, H.265 and Motion JPEG with Axis Zipstream, four RS485/RS422 ports control analog PTZ cameras, and memory card slots add edge storage. It is built for high-density sites that want to keep a large analog camera estate while moving recording and viewing to an IP video management system.

High-Density Analog to IP Migration

The M7116 packs 16 BNC inputs into a compact 1U chassis, so large analog systems can be migrated rack by rack. It digitizes NTSC/PAL video and delivers 25/30 fps on all channels, with a quad view that combines four cameras in one stream. Each block of four channels has its own IP address, giving you four IP addresses for the full encoder.

PTZ Control and Analytics

Four RS485/RS422 terminal blocks control analog PTZ cameras with drivers included in the firmware, up to 100 preset positions per camera, guard tours and Windows compatible joysticks. AXIS Video Motion Detection and active tampering alarm are included, and AXIS Camera Application Platform supports third-party applications.

Zipstream and Flexible Recording

Axis Zipstream in H.264 and H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. Store video on microSD cards with encryption, on network-attached storage or in your VMS: the M7116 works with AXIS Camera Station Edge, Pro and 5, partner VMS software and ONVIF Profile G, M, S and T.

Built-In Cybersecurity

Signed OS and secure boot make sure only authorized firmware runs, and IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AE MACsec, HTTPS/HSTS and TLS 1.2/1.3 secure the network connection.
