The AXIS A9920 is a compact, high-density I/O relay expansion module with 16 supervised I/Os and 16 dry Form C relays, designed for the AXIS A9210 Network I/O Relay Module and Axis network door controllers. It suits space-limited and retrofit jobs such as elevator access control, data center cabinet security and door monitoring. With multi-drop technology, one AXIS A9210 supports up to 128 I/Os and 64 relays over a single IP connection.

16 Supervised I/Os and 16 Dry Relays

The 16 I/Os accept 0-30 V DC inputs that can be supervised in four states with programmable 1 K, 2.2 K, 4.7 K or 10 K end-of-line resistors, or act as open drain outputs up to 100 mA. The 16 Form C relays are dry contacts rated max 4 A at 12 V DC or 2 A at 30 V DC. Need wet relays or Modbus sensor ports? Axis points to the AXIS A9910 for those.

Elevators and Data Center Cabinets

High relay density makes the A9920 a fit for elevator floor control and for securing data center cabinets, where many locks or floor buttons must be switched from one place. It also integrates with video, alarm, intrusion, access control and building management systems for a more unified view of security events.

Multi-Drop Expansion

Expansion IN and OUT ports daisy-chain modules over one shielded twisted pair, qualified up to 1000 m (3281 ft). One AXIS A9210 can host up to 16 expansion modules, for 128 I/Os and 64 relays behind a single network connection, so there is no need for a network drop at every module.

Flexible Installation

The steel module mounts on a wall with the AXIS TA9001 Wall Mount Bracket or on a DIN rail with the AXIS TA1901 clip, vertically, horizontally or in blade installations. For outdoor sites, Axis lists the AXIS TQ1808-VE and T98A15-VE cabinets. Detachable, color-coded terminal blocks speed up wiring, and the AXIS TA9901 Cable Strain Relief keeps cables secure.
