The Heart of PortaCom

Connect each BP-2000 belt pack to a PC-2000 output with a 3-pin XLR mic cable, plug in the AC adapter and switch the console on. The PC-2000 sends 22 VDC and both intercom channels to every belt pack, so the belt packs need no batteries.

Expand as You Grow

The PC-2000 has four XLR outputs. To add users, run an XLR cable from a PC-2000 output to a B3-2000 branch box, which adds three more belt pack outputs; chain additional branch boxes for more headsets. Anchor Audio rates the PC-2000 for up to 50 BP-2000 belt packs.

Cabling

PortaCom uses standard 1-pair shielded mic cable with 3-pin XLR connectors. Anchor Audio recommends heavy-duty cable for runs over 250 ft.

Portable or Rackmounted

The PC-2000 measures 1.75 x 8.5 x 4.5 in. and weighs 3.6 lb. Anchor Audio's RM-100 rackmount holds one or two PC-2000 consoles in a standard rack.
