Thermal Detection in Any Light
The uncooled 384x288 microbolometer (17 μm pixels, 8–14 μm spectral range) reaches NETD under 20 mK for a low false alarm rate. Its athermalized 7 mm, F1.18 lens gives a 55° horizontal and 41° vertical view, it pans and tilts with the visual camera, and it streams at up to 30 fps with electronic image stabilization and thermal palettes. AXIS Perimeter Defender is supported for area detection on the thermal channel.
31x Zoom for Visual Identification
A 1/2″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with a 6.91–214.64 mm, F1.36–F4.6 lens delivers HDTV 1080p at up to 50/60 fps, from a 59.6° overview down to 1.0°, with 12x digital zoom for 372x in total. Color reaches 0.06 lux and B/W 0.001 lux at 30 IRE, Forensic WDR handles up to 120 dB, and OptimizedIR lights the scene to 150 m (492 ft) or more. Axis gives DORI values of up to 1749.3 m (5737.7 ft) to detect and 174.2 m (571.4 ft) to identify at full tele (EN-62676-4 pixel densities).
PTZ with Autotracking 2
The camera pans 360° endlessly and tilts from +20° to -90° at 0.05°–150°/s, with nadir flip, 300 preset positions, guard tour (max 100), tour recording and a control queue. Autotracking 2, orientation aid PTZ and advanced gatekeeper help operators follow fast-moving objects.
AI Analytics on the Edge
The ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip with a deep learning processing unit runs AXIS Object Analytics on the visual stream to detect, classify, track and count humans and vehicles in up to 10 scenarios, plus AXIS Scene Metadata, AXIS Image Health Analytics, AXIS Video Motion Detection, AXIS OSDI Zone and AXIS Live Privacy Shield. Video streams in AV1, H.264, H.265 or Motion JPEG with Axis Zipstream.
Cybersecurity and Rugged Design
Axis Edge Vault protects the device with a secure element (CC EAL6+, FIPS 140-3 Level 3), Axis device ID, signed video, secure boot and an encrypted filesystem, and IEEE 802.1X, IEEE 802.1AE MACsec and TLS 1.2/1.3 secure the network. The repaintable aluminum casing is IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 rated (excluding front windows), operates from -40 °C to 55 °C with a 60 W midspan, and runs on a single PoE IEEE 802.3bt Class 6 cable; shock detection reports if the camera is hit.
